Three different people

I came home from work today and Maxmilian started calling me Mommy.  Sonya calls me Mama, and Isobel  says Mom -- I love hearing all three.  I also love watching their individual personalities and preferences surface.  Watching you three grow is amazing and beautiful!

funny, funny... part 2

Keeps on getting better and better.  So, I am cleaning the kitchen after dinner while the kids are running around and playing with some plastic fruits and veggies they got for Christmas.  All of a sudden there is a bloodcurdling scream......."MOM!! Max just hit me in the face with an avocado!" ???? It took so much restraint to not laugh -- and to follow through and put Max in time out.

Izzie has been into braiding her hair.... I cane back from work and she pointed to her hair and said 'look Mom, I have a band-aide'....???... Oh, braid :)

Today Izzie said over breakfast -- Mom, it's really froggy outside.

There is something to laugh about everyday :)

In other news, all three kids started swim class.  Here is a photo of my surfer team before we left for the pool:

Soni's cheese face cracks me up.  She also earned the nickname 'daredevil' at the first class, and Izzie and Max did really well too -- they were a bit more concerned with self preservation than their little sister.  All in all, it was so fun to enjoy this activity as a family (hopefully Papa will get to join us for a few classes).  I am going to try for a few during class shots this week.

Funny, funny...

As the kids language skill develop, we find ourselves having stories to crack up over every day. Sonya claps or raises her hands and yells YEA when she is pleased with herself. Max waves bye bye and shakes his finger at the girls when they bother him. Izzie started saying, "I've liked this my whole life" when she finds something she likes to eat or enjoy playing. It's hard not to laugh out loud at the last one!

Holidays 2011

This year we introduced Izzie to Santa -- she walked up to every inflatable Santa on the block and asked for a red scooter (and after she got one, went up to all those same Santa's to say thank you :)  Here are some photos of the festivities:

Izzie decided Santa wanted yogurt with his cookies

Adam got Max this adorable felt tool belt

We then had some wonderful visits from friends over New Years weekend.  All in all, we entered 2012 feeling joyous and blessed.  It has been a year since I started this blog -- mainly for the three loves of my life (and to enjoy with the fourth love of my life, Adam :).  In the coming year I may change it around a bit and write directly to you three -- lets see what inspiration brings.  And what do we have to look forward to this year? Swim and dance classes and school for the kids, working and writing for Mom, and possibly a pilot's licence for Dad -- I think.  For sure, though, more healthy, mindful, appreciating every moment togetherness.
